When you study with Mark Olson, you are retaining him as your Private Music Coach. Like a personal trainer for music, you will build strength in a number of targeted areas: Foundational music knowledge, technique, classical and modern style approaches. Music 'theory' is incorporated into everything that the student learns, and should not be feared. Knowing the 'why' behind what you are playing will help you see the bigger picture, and learn music faster.

Mark has been teaching privately for over fifteen years, the last ten exclusively at Music Go Round in Woodbury.

Mark has been playing professionally for over twenty years in a variety of styles and venues. Classical, jazz, rock, pop, and sacred are just a few of the styles in which he is fluent. He is currently the staff musician at Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury, MN. He is also regularly recording tracks for original projects at studios from St. Paul to Las Vegas.
